Just a few weeks after Microsoft released its first iPhone application, Seadragon, another big rival jumps into the iPhone bandwagon: HP. The Palo Alto-based tech company just announced iPrint Photo, a free application now available on Apple’s App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

This software is designed to let customers easily print photos wherever there’s access to a wireless network and HP printers.
The company plans to show off iPrint Photo next month at both the Macworld Expo in San Francisco and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Accoring to Darrell Walker, a software development engineer in HP’s Mac group, HP was exploring other opportunities to develop for the iPhone.

I think that this seems to be a really useful app, especially as we’re using mobile phones in place of just about every other little hand-held gadget, including digital photography. A quick app for printing is nice.
