Motorola today announced the upcoming availability of Good Mobility Suite version 6.0 which includes a new managed-service virtual private network (VPN) as well as an enhanced device management and security platform. Good 6.0, which will include Good Mobile Connection, Good Administration Center and Good Mobile Messaging, will provide organizations with more secure, seamless, and manageable mobile access to enterprise information and applications.

The new Good Mobile Connection provides a persistent network-agnostic connection via the Good Network Operations Center (NOC) to behind-the-firewall data and applications. Organizations will now be able to deploy virtually any application leveraging standard TCP protocols over the Good Mobile Connection transport with no modifications or custom coding required. Good Mobile Connection allows IT to set granular restrictions on both the type and location of assets that can be accessed behind firewalls in addition to the device-level security capabilities provided in the Good Mobility Suite.
The Good Administration Center will provide a unified environment for deploying and managing all Good applications, devices, security policies, and data access rights. This web console provides flexible access for IT personnel to manage devices from wherever they are.
Good offers enterprise customers a broad range of mobile computing solutions from the shop floor to the corner office by supporting devices ranging from the MC35 and MC70 enterprise digital assistant (EDA) to the Motorola Q family, as well as a variety of other Windows Mobile and Palm OS devices from Palm, Samsung, HTC, and other manufacturers.
Good 6.0 is expected to be available later in 2008. The software and service will support a broad range of smartphones and will support both IBM Lotus Domino and Microsoft Exchange email systems.
