If you are running the released software ROM version prior to 4.01.16* you will benefit from this upgrade. For the complete list of benefits see Quick Reference.

* To determine your device configuration, select Start -> Settings -> System and choose the Device Information icon.

WARNING: All information on the Pocket PC Phone Edition will be lost during this upgrade. Be sure run ActiveSync before starting the upgrade to maintain a copy of your data on the PC. Be sure to follow the instructions provided during the installation.

To install the Pocket PC Phone Edition Upgrade, you will need the following:

• A T-Mobile activated Smart/SIM Card inserted into your Pocket PC Phone Edition
• A fully charged battery

Desktop computer requirements:

• Windows® 95, 98, 98SE, Windows® NT 4.0, Windows® Me, Windows® 2000 or Windows® XP (you must install the upgrade from the computer with which you ActiveSync)
  ActiveSync 3.7.1 (build 3244) or later Download from Microsoft
• USB Cradle or Serial port connection

I followed directions to a tee. 10 minutes into it said there was an error to unhook and reset phone and reconnect and rerun. yet it completely wiped up everything on my phone pc so when I hooked it up it said unrecognized item and was unable to reconnect. I ran program anyway but nothing happened. Same error message again. now I get nothing out of pocket pc. NOTHING. It does not even turn on. What do I do now??????? Please advise.
