How to configure Custom Ringtones for Contacts from the SD Card

After editing the registry and moving my wav. files etc from the Applications\Sounds folder and from the Windows folder none of my ringtones would work. After searching the registry Current User>Control Panel>Sounds registry as well I found a few entries that pointed to Applications\sounds and changed those to point to my storage card too, but still no go.
Any suggestions on finding any remaining entries that may point to the applications\sounds folder. I copied my sounds back to that location and everthing is working, but would love to utilize my 1 GB SD card and add tons more sounds.
