If you buy this phone will it have a operator or can you use programs like Skype and make free calls?

If anyone manages to find this phone available to purchase please post here because I've searched high and low and cannot find anyone selling it anywhere. I've sent an email to Siemens for more information such as whether it supports WPA encryption and also where I can purchase it from, but haven't heard anything.

At the end of the may 2006 I saw a press release by Siemens, announcing that the production of these phones starts in june.

These phones seems to be available in Swedish internetshops, but I can not be sure if they are really selling them or just selling short. I have not seen them available in anywhere else yet, even it is already mid August 2006.

This makes me to even think if Siemens is hesitating to bring this product to market as with Gigaset S35 WLAN that was announced february 2005. That phone seems to have been WLAN phone too.

yeah, that is true. The Gigaset SL75 WLAN has the ability to receive and send e-mails complete with photo attachments.
