Another independent confirmation of the iPAQ 6300

I think the highlight was the HP presentation. The topic was "Smart Wireless Devices". One of the slides shown had a series of concentric circles showing how different wireless technologies interact and relate to use profiles, from RFID, Bluetooth (personal networks), Wi-Fi (local networks), Wi-max (metropolitan networks) and GPRS (wide area networks). The presenter then introduced us to a concept device that could span through the personal networks through GPRS. Apparently this device will be available in New Zealand from the second half of this year, and would run on Vodafone's GSM/GPRS network.

He then proceeded to show an actual working protoype, which looks very much like the image below. I can also confirm the specs are very similar to what was published earlier on this article about a new model potentially called iPAQ h6300. I was told by sources from other company that this device could reach our local market by September 2004.
