DeviceAnywhere announced the launch of the LG Virtual Developer Lab (VDL) in partnership with LG Mobile. Available to members of the LG Mobile Developer Network, the LG VDL provides remote access to over 140 physical devices in Europe, the U.S. and Canada, allowing the developer community to remotely interact with a mobile handset as if it were in their hands from the comfort of their desktops anywhere in the world.

The LG Virtual Developer Lab is part of LG’s ongoing commitment to supporting the mobile content and application development community. Built on Java and Flash Lite, the current de facto mobile standard for content and applications, the LG VDL will allow developers of all sizes, ranging from independents to large content companies, to promptly test across a range of LG handsets to ensure the optimal end-user experience.
“LG represents one of the fastest growing brands in mobile, with flagship devices such as the LG Cookie and LG Shine creating the ultimate end user-centric experience. Complementing these devices is the content and applications that our developer community creates. As a result, we are dedicated to ensuring they have access to the best tools and services available,” said Jae un Kim, Chief Engineer of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “We are excited about the launch of the LG Virtual Developer Lab and seeing how the LG community uses it to create innovative new services and content for our customers.”
