Well, it looks like Dell wants their future tablet to see as many customers as possible, and to make sure that happens, they’re going to release it on more than one carrier. At least, that’s what we’re lead to believe based on these FCC filings, anyway. We already knew the Dell Mini 5, or Streak if you prefer, was heading to AT&T, but this little blip on the radar came as a surprise.

Thanks to an FCC filing found today, the Dell Mini 5 has been approved to rock T-Mobile USA’s specific WCDMA Band IV. It’s been in the FCC’s labyrinth before, and it came out with AT&T’s Bands II and V, so obviously this model is meant for something a little more magenta. Now, there hasn’t been any official word from Dell or T-Mobile USA, but hopefully that will come sooner than later.
We’re thinking this may be Dell’s shot at getting their tablet into as many hands as possible, but we’re wondering if they’re getting ready to launch it on T-Mobile USA as they are with AT&T: subsidized and with a plan. If not, we’re shaking in the boots to see what this tablet will go for unlocked and with that full price tag. We’ll just have to hope for the best. As soon as we know more, we’ll pass it along.
