The Chinese government just approved the implementation of next-generation 3G wireless services. The country's regulation body would issue license for each of the three major standards: the homegrown TD-SCDMA standard as well as the global standards the CDMA 2000 and W-CDMA.

Seems Nokia started bombarding the phone market with their touch-screen phones. Nokia 6208c, which is unveiled in Nanjing China today, is the company's fourth touchscreen devices after Nokia 7700/7710 (2003), N810 Internet Tablet (2007) and Nokia 5800 Xpress Music (2008).

When I read this news, I believe that it should be the unofficial thing. According to APA, Nokia phones with the image (in form of wallpaper or screensaver, maybe) of Joseph Stalin (1878-1953) hits the Moscow stores.

Google has released a YouTube client for the BlackBerry Storm, allowing users to get a YouTube experience on their BlackBerry's first touchscreen handheld. Noticed that Storm's web browser is good enough to browse YouTube, but a dedicated client usually offers more rich experience.

Walmart has started to sell the iPhone 3G at nearly 2,500 Walmart stores beginning Sunday, December 28, 2008. The retailer is offering the black 8 GB iPhone 3G model with the price of $197 and the 16 GB black or white model for $297, with a new two-year service agreement from AT&T or qualified upgrade.
