Treating all phone calls as data packet, the company routes all phone calls with its proprietary VoIP system, which requires a software to be installed on the phone to handle a secure connection between the phone and Zer01 backend servers. As a result, Zer01 Mobile will initially be available on Windows Mobile smartphones, however support for other devices such as Blackberry, Android and iPhone will be available within months.

When they have android covered, I may just switch over.

It would be interesting to see them support pure data devices, too (data cards, usb modems, novatel mifi, etc.).
