Windows Phone reached a key milestone this week. Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace now has more than 50,000 apps. Of these, 17,276 were added in the last 90 days and 8,010 were added in the last 30 days, All About Windows Phone reports.

Though still far behind iOS and Android in terms of number of apps, it seems that Windows Phone is trying to catch up their rivals. For instance, Windows Phone just took 14 months to reach 50,000 apps, while Android took 19 months and iOS took 12 months to cross 50,000 apps mark, concludes eWeek.

Epic 4G forums moderator ragnarox has taken the time to whip up a very comprehensive guide using some popular hacks that not only will get you your Froyo fix, but will put Samsung’s rfs file system to bed and replace it with the much snappier, and more reliable ext4 file system.

Featuring a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, the Epic 4G is one of the Galaxy S-series Android smart-phones. Running the new and improved TouchWiz 3.0 on top of Android 2.1, it has a LED flash, slide-out QWERTY hardware keyboard and supports the 4G network.
