What’s best, both mobile (Symbian and Maemo) and web are built upon the same set of Ovi Services and API’s. The new web-based toolbox utilizes standard web-based technologies including HTML, CSS and Javascript. The SDK Beta is available now by invitation, just go to Forum Nokia to register.

The N900 packs a powerful ARM Cortex-A8 processor, up to 1GB of application memory and OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration. It features a high-resolution WVGA touch screen and fast internet connectivity with 10/2 HSPA and WLAN.  The Nokia N900 has 32GB of storage, which is expandable up to 48GB via a microSD card. N900 sporting the 5MP camera and Carl Zeiss optics and also features tag cloud user interface.

Thanks to  Mozilla technology’s browser, we can enjoy website in N900 as we browse on PC-based Internet. Online videos and interactive applications are supported by full Adobe Flash(TM) 9.4 support.

According to OPK, together with Nokia’s recent announcements –Nokia Money, the Nokia N900, Nokia Booklet 3G, Nokia 5230 and Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition– Nokia is proud to lead the charge in smartphones and beyond with “the Nokia N900 and Nokia Booklet 3G.” Nokia will also release its new XSeries music phone, the Nokia X6 and the Nokia X3 in in Q4 this year.

In term of social Internet, Nokia announced lifecasting with Ovi, the first application to let people publish their location and status updates directly to their Facebook account from the home screen of a mobile device. Lifecasting with Ovi will be available for both the Nokia N97 and Nokia N97 mini via Nokia Beta Labs.

Based on the iconic design of the Nokia N97, the Nokia N97 mini is a smaller mobile computer with stylish stainless steel cues, featuring a tilting 3.2″ touch display, QWERTY keyboard and fully customizable homescreen.

Nokia will release new Nokia N97 v2.0 firmware this October. The new software will bring new homescreen widgets and additional usability improvements including flick scrolling.

We just can guess what “C” stands for. Computer? Consumer? Community? Camera? Not sure. However, I agree with what Dan Nosowitz of Gizmodo says:

seeing as how Nokia doesn’t name their lines after English words (business does not start with E, and entertainment does not start with N. We’re pretty sure).

Yes, the “E” in “E-Series” stands for businEss, and the “N” in “Nseries” stands for eNtertainment. So, what will the “C” in “C-Series” stands for? I just can guess: “C” stands for  aCcess (for Internet phone) or aCcent (for fashion phone)? Any suggestion?

So we’ve just got to wait and see.

Nokia E72 builds on successful formula with slim dimensions and comprehensive messaging solutions

Swift, slim and resourceful are three words that accurately describe the new Nokia E72, which was unveiled at the Nokia Connection event in Singapore today. Nokia’s latest full QWERTY smartphone brings a rich mobile email and instant messaging experience right out of the box, making it the ideal device for people that want to be productive in both their personal and professional lives.

Building on the formula from the hugely successful Nokia E71, Nokia’s best selling QWERTY device to date, this latest arrival in Nokia’s Eseries family maintains essential elements of its predecessor, whilst still improving its capabilities in a number of areas. “Despite the outstanding market performance of the Nokia E71, we still continually look for ways to enhance the device,” said Ilari Nurmi, Vice President at Nokia. “So we included the desktop like email experience from the Nokia E75 and gave it a new optical navigation key for more intuitive scrolling through menus, emails and fast panning of images. We also upgraded the camera to 5 megapixels and added a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.”

Performance improvements are evident throughout the user experience including faster Internet up- and downlink speeds. Other notable features which should make the Nokia E72 as popular as recent Nokia Eseries introductions include A-GPS and compass with integrated Maps, including lifetime walk and 10 days of turn-by-turn navigation if activated within the first three months.  Conversations are also clearer with active noise cancellation, and a torch can be activated with a single press of the spacebar key. The office capabilities have been updated with a new version of Quickoffice, which delivers Microsoft Office 2007 compatibility as well as free version upgrades when new features become available.
