AT&T U-verse TV customers can now use a free application to make scheduling and managing recordings on their DVR when they’re away from home. The U-verse TV Mobile Remote Access App for iPhone and iPod touch lets customers record their content from virtually anywhere.

The app allows users to easily search U-verse TV program listings from the full program guide, view descriptions of selected programs, schedule program or series recordings, manage or edit scheduled recordings, and delete stored DVR content.

The Mobile Remote Access App is available for free from Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.

This is a cool app for someone who’s forgetful like me and forgot to set the DVR timer to watch Steve Carell’s final performance on The Office. The app that is perfect for the person on the go works on Androids, iPhones, iPads and more, and it’s from DISH Network. When I started working for DISH I was given a Sling Adapter that relays all the programming I’m subscribed to and all of my DVR recordings onto multiple mobile devices. I’m never at home to sit on the couch so while I’m out commuting, waiting for Grandma’s doctor’s appointment, or just bored at work I can whip out my trusted Smartphone that acts as my TV. May be Uverse will set up their subscribers with the awesome abilities that DISH provides their subscribers.
