THE QUICKFIRE DOES NOT HAVE BLUETOOTH!!!
THE AT&T STORE THAT I BOUGHT IT FROM TOLD ME SPECIFICALLY RIGHT BEFORE I BOUGHT THE PHONE, THAT IT DIDNT HAVE THE FILE TRANSFER PART OF BLUETOOTH. YES, IT DOES HAVE BLUETOOTH, BUT ITS FOR WIRELESS HEADSETS ONLY!
THIS SUCKS REALLY BAD, BUT THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM IS TO BUY UNLIMITED MULTIMEDIA AND REGULAR TEXT MESSAGING, AND RECIEVE RINGTONES THROUGH TEXT MESSAGES. THATS WHAT I DO, AND EVERYTHING SEEMS TO WORK FINE.
ANOTHER SOLUTION IS TO BUY A QUICKFIRE USB CONNECTOR AND HOOK IT UP TO YOUR COMPUTER, THEN DOWNLOAD AUDACITY AND THE LAME MP3 ENCODER FOR IT (LISTED ON ITS WEBSITE AUDACITY.COM). THEN GO TO JAMGLUE.COM AND DOWNLOADA FREE SONG, ANYONE THAT YOU WANT, YOU JUST HAVE TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT THATS FREE, NO CREDIT CARDS OR ANYTHING. THEN OPEN THE SONG UP IN AUDACITY AND CUT OUT THE PART OF THE SONG THAT YOU WANT FOR AS YOUR RINGTONE, AND THEN SAVE IT AS AN MP3. THEN COPY IT TO YOUR QUICKFIRE AND BOOM! YOU HAVE FREE RINGTONES!! YOU JUST GOTTA MAKE THEM BY YOURSELF, THATS THE ONLY STRUGGLE, BUT IT WORKS!!!

Formerly known as the UTStarcom Knick, the QuickFire is a quadband GSM, triband UMTS slider with a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display; slide that up, and there’s a full QWERTY keyboard.
AT&T Navigator is preloaded, and the QuickFire will work with the carrier’s streaming video services. We found the keyboard to be reasonable to type on, as the bulk of the shaved width over the Sidekick is lost from the end panels, not QWERTY space. However the lined-up keys make for the slower learning curve when you first pick up the QuickFire and start pecking.
The resistive touchscreen seems responsive, with large – if a little bland – icons; it’s larger than that of the Sidekick, by 0.2-inches, but lower resolution at 320 x 240 versus 400 x 240. Still, it was clear enough to keep IM conversations going, and the fact that you can touch it to navigate (rather than use a D-pad or trackball) keeps things moving quickly. Of course, the QuickFire lacks the Sidekick’s server-based support system (which stores emails, compresses data for the Sidekick’s browser, maintains IM login even when the phone itself is out of coverage, and generally keeps an ongoing backup) but the faster 3G speeds of the AT&T handset make things like on-the-fly browser reformatting less of an issue. The QuickFire uses the full-HTML Polaris Browser v.6, which supports finger dragging navigation and zoom control; it’s not as slick as some of the smartphone browsers we’ve seen, but it does a reasonable job.
Sightings of the AT&T QuickFire have been few and far between; we’ve had reports of one small-town retailer getting them in stock, while other AT&T stores are still waiting. It’s not yet shown up on AT&T’s site, either. We’d recommend calling your local store before making the trip out; the official release date is November 10th, priced at $149.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate and new, two-year agreement.

WHAT DOES “RUNNING ERROR” MEAN? it keeps coming up on my at&t quickfire. So, when I take pictures, my phone will take them. But then when i go to look at my images either the whole thing will restart, or the pics will all look messed up (with like lines and such going through the pictures.) So then if i try to send a pic, then it will say running error. or if i try to delete a pic. it’ll come up. HELP???
Has anyone had problems with the touchscreen on their qiuckfire? My touchscreen seems to not be working, sometimes it won’t even do a thing whe I touch it. Also there are sometimes when I touch messaging and it brings up the IM screen. Anyone having this problem I can still get a new one because I am under warranty still, but if more people are having the same problem I want to get a whole different phone.

in order for you to get free ringtones…go to http://www.mixer.com they have free ringtones there and what not…but my problem is..how can you send more than one picture at the same time…you know when u have a phone you just multi select how many pictures you want to send instead of sending them one by one..well i need help with it with my quickfire phone
and also you can set one of your ringtones as a text tone..as in when you recieve a text or aim or wut eva the ringtone will play when someone sent you a text..
Is anyone having a problem with designated ringtones for specific individuals? My did work, but has stopped allowing it. When I assign a specific ringtone to an individual it will only play the ringtone I have for everyone else. I have completed a master reset and the problem persists.

How the heck do I assign a ringtone to a contact? I have one I want for my dad a differant ring tone I want for my mom and a differant one I want for my sister. I have tried everything and read the manual and can not figure it out! Help!

yes it is possible but only to the contacts you add to the phone. if they came from a sim card, you will have to resave them. once you add them as a new contact you will see the “ringtone” option. then u can pick a ringtone either on the phone or one you may have downloaded or recieved from a message.
Is there a way to Master reset if I forgot the password?
The quickfire sucks ass. I got it last christmas and at first I thought it was amazing, now the touch screen is slow and it’s all fucked up. GO TO HELL AT&T!!!!!
