Many devices are getting Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread update. Samsung is one of those devices in line to get the update. Before, it was still uncertain whether the Galaxy S will be getting the Gingerbread.

Thanks to Samsung Mobile India’s official twitter account, we now do know that the smartphone will be getting an update very soon on the Android 2.3 OS (Gingerbread). Sadly, there’s no further confirmation on the release date.
