Reported on Digitimes, Acer will announce new Acer smartphones in Q1 next year. The company is hiring more employees for their mobile phone business unit to prepare for the new product lineup. Acer has already experienced in making few pda products, will they bring us surprise on another Touch UI?

According to Jim Wong, senior corporate vice president and president of IT product business group at Acer, the company will first target Western Europe and Russia smartphone market after the new product launches.
