LG's 3800 series mobile phones are all have Biometric Fingerprint Scanner built-in. After the first model LP3800 announced in august, LG announced LG-KP3800 last month. This model has the similar specification as LP3800 but it has an unique feature which you can do Card Recognition Function to capture wording on namecard.

Cetizen.com shows the Card Recognition Function in LG-KP3800, basically it capture the information from a namecard and add it to your contact list automatically. This is useful especially for marketer who visit clients often.

When you do Card Recognition, you need to position your mobile phone camera at certain distance and angle. A "OK" button will shows up when it is ready to start the capturing.

You can use the 4-way navigation button to choose the blocks of text.

After you select the text block, you will then assign it to correct field. (Name, phone number... etc). You get the following screen after the entire process.

The recognition success rate will be improved further after more practises... :)
