Nokia's latest patent tackles numeric entry when working with a phone in both portrait and landscape orientations. The crappy sketch shows a QWERTY-blessed smartphone with sliding screen that can be either used as a traditional candybar or, by rotating the number pad 90-degrees, as a PDA with as close to a desktop keyboard with dedicated number section as I've ever seen on a cellphone before.
