Today Siemens Mobile presents its new multimedia mobile phone – the triband CX70 with 3D entertainment and it's variant, the CX70 EMOTY, the first-ever handset that enables consumers to share emotions via a new way of sensor-controlled emotional multimedia messaging with others.

The CX70 and the CX70 EMOTY variants boast a range of features including 3D Java Engine, an impressively large 65k color high resolution display and an integrated VGA Camera with video recording functionality.  

The two variants also have a complete range of communication options available such as MMS, SMS and Email and Push-and-Talk (PaT) (depends on the operator), which enable users to send voice messages instantly and speak to a group of friends at the same time. Preinstalled logos, pictures, animations and polyphonic ringtones allow users to personalize their phones even more and create colorful MMS messages. 

With the three preinstalled 3D EMOTY-characters – Laura, Joey, and Wobble – to play with and ten emotional categories on the keypad to choose from, such as love and happiness to sadness and anger, the CX70 EMOTY lets users express their feelings. Together with a text, the conveyed emotion can then be sent as an animation via MMS to all MMS capable mobile phones to be shared with others. 

At just 90 grams, the CX70 is a truly lightweight phone. With its special cover and integrated sensors, the CX70 EMOTY is not much heavier, weighing 116 grams. With 300 hours of stand by battery life and 330 minutes of talk time, the CX70 and CX70 EMOTY are reliable and perfect for the consumer with active and demanding lives.   

The phones will be sold in Europe , Asia Pacific and Latin America from the fourth quarter 2004. The CX70 will be available in 'Galactic Blue', the CX70 EMOTY in 'Bluewater' and the price will be available locally.
