Siemens post some photos of testing a mobile phone prototype in their lab. This include shock, water and emperature resistant. They also test on putting the phone into the jean's pocket for several thousand times.

A mobile phone must be able to withstand considerable shaking – in the car, for example. For this reason, new devices are placed in a mounting attachment in the Siemens test lab and exposed to vibration for a number of hours.
