Siemens post some photos of testing a mobile phone prototype in their lab. This include shock, water and emperature resistant. They also test on putting the phone into the jean's pocket for several thousand times.

Especially robust and stabile: the M75 outdoor mobile, for example, from Siemens is sprinkled with water from three different directions for a period of one minute. Outdoor mobile phones are also subjected to special tests in the Siemens test lab in addition to the 20 basic tests (for example the splash water test).
