Siemens post some photos of testing a mobile phone prototype in their lab. This include shock, water and emperature resistant. They also test on putting the phone into the jean's pocket for several thousand times.

Mobile phone keys must be able to withstand the demands of popular SMS messaging. This is why the keys on the new devices are pressed up to 400,000 times in the Siemens test lab.
