Siemens post some photos of testing a mobile phone prototype in their lab. This include shock, water and emperature resistant. They also test on putting the phone into the jean's pocket for several thousand times.

 

In the course of the jeans test, Siemens handsets are placed in a pocket several thousand times. In addition to withstanding the hard jeans fabric, the devices must be able to tolerate a mixture of dust, tobacco, fuzz and paper tissues in the Siemens test lab.
