Reports from phonescoop that Motorola is tuning the PEBL clamshell into ROKR music phone series.

The new PEBL clamshell phone could be named ROKR U9, and will has the similar body design as the original Motorola PEBL. No detail information on the new phone from the source but it is confirmed to have an external display screen with music player control buttons. The ROKR U9 music phone will most likely support 3G data connection. No release date info is available at the moment.
