Motorola also announced the MOTORAZR xx and MOTOSLVR L7c -- featuring broadband-like speed and dynamic multimedia capabilities.

The MOTORAZR xx -- Motorola's premier High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) handsets -- pack power and good looks into the famous RAZR design while helping to enable download speeds as fast as 3.6MB per second. The MOTOSLVR L7c, leveraging EV-DO technology, offers high speed connectivity with the familiar MOTOSLVR design sense and functionality.

The enhanced speed delivers more than quick access to content; it also helps enable the delivery of more innovative services and experiences.

"Motorola is opening the door to mobile broadband and giving consumers the opportunity to experience so much more with their mobile phones," said Ron Garriques, president, Mobile Devices, Motorola. "The HSDPA and EV-DO technology inherent in MOTORAZR xx, MOTORAZR maxx and MOTOSLVR L7c will help operators offer new, differentiated services; letting consumers learn more, connect more and have more fun."

MOTORAZR xx

The MOTORAZR xx delivers high-speed networking and premium multimedia capabilities in the award-winning RAZR form.  Adding premium metal finishes and colors, plus HSDPA and EDGE technology, users can watch live streaming video over broadband-like connections and conduct two-way video calls with 15 frames per second. A compact multimedia machine, the MOTORAZR xx includes an integrated music player and Bluetooth wireless technology stereo music profiles for streaming music to compatible Bluetooth-enabled wireless stereo headphones.

MOTOSLVR L7c

The new MOTOSLVR L7c merges high-speed EV-DO connectivity with the popular MOTOSLVR design and functionality. With the power of an EV-DO CDMA 1x network behind it, the MOTOSLVR L7c provides real-time, streaming audio and video capabilities, over the air downloads via BREW technology and integrated sGPS technology for optional location-based applications.

The MOTORAZR xx and MOTOSLVR L7c are expected to be available in Q4 2006. No photos are available yet. The photo at the right is Motorola SLVR L7.
