At 3GSM World Congress 2006 last week, Motorola unveiled its latest i-mode enabled handsets, the Motorola SLVR L7 and L6 with i-mode, empowering users with even easier access to content rich mobile internet services such as gaming, shopping, messaging and downloads.
Building on the success of the highly acclaimed SLVR L7 and L6, the two new ultra-slim models, developed in association with the global i-mode alliance, now come complete with i-mode functionality including a dedicated i-mode soft key to enable even faster access to over 96,000 active i-mode sites. With over 51 million subscribers worldwide, i-mode has revolutionised the way the world accesses information on mobile handsets. Whether checking e-mail, downloading games or shopping, i-mode makes it a simple and rewarding process and the SLVR design ensures you look great too. Users can easily navigate sites and download the latest ring tones, wall papers and games to personalise the ultra stylish SLVR L7 and L6 with i-mode. Building on the functionality of the L6 with i-mode, the SLVR L7 with i-mode with its advanced camera is the ultimate handset for those wanting to stay in touch while demonstrating their sense of style, providing ultra fast internet access and wireless modem capabilities. The SLVR L7 with i-mode delivers a true multimedia experience, with video capture playback, built in MP3 player for music playback from the 60MB of internal user memory, further upgradeable using a MicroSD card. The Motorola SLVR L6 uses Freescale Semiconductor's baseband, power management, power amplifier and RF solutions, and the Motorola SLVR L7 uses Freescale Semiconductor's baseband and power management solutions.
