The ImCoSys linux smartphone is one of the recent linux smartphone that comes with well connected modules like WiFi, Quadband, GPS and bluetooth. Other than the hardware, the linux OS also support push email solution from IBM Lotus and Microsoft Exchange server. It will be able to read Microsoft office documents, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Adobe PDF file is compatible too. The smartphone is planned to be available in June for Europe and US.
From the front menu, you can activate the applications such as GPS positioning, MP3 player, Calendar, Browser and Memo. Usual indicator like connection status, battery and sms indicator are on the top of the screen. With WiFi you can expect to see VoIP application available to make VoIP calls. On the ImCoSys website, VoIP (SIP) calls is on their features list. Though they are not giving the details of the VoIP capability. The phone will be on sale with a price tag of 298 euro, close to 356 USD. Specifications:
