mobilis, a public mobile operator in Algeria, Alcatel-Lucent and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the launch of the BlackBerry wireless solution in Algeria. Using a BlackBerry smartphone, mobilis customers will be able to wirelessly send and receive emails, make phone calls, browse the Internet, send text messages and access corporate and lifestyle applications when on the move. "This partnership illustrates the desire of mobilis to forge strong strategic links with local and global partners, whose technological and marketing expertise allows us to ensure our individual and business customers receive a level of service that meets the highest international standards," states Hachemi Belhamdi, Chief Executive Officer of mobilis. Alcatel-Lucent and RIM’s distribution agreement means that Alcatel-Lucent will provide global integration services, leveraging its strong local presence in the region to provide mobilis with the end-to-end implementation, launch, delivery and support of the BlackBerry solution to the Algerian market. |
