Acision announces the launch of Visual Voicemail, a fully integrated, easy-to-use graphical multimedia interface. Visual Voicemail is powered by Acision’s industry leading uOne convergence platform and has been developed in partnership with Action Engine, The On-Device Portal Company.

Visual Voicemail enables operators to offer simplified and enhanced viewing, playback and management of voicemail, as well as ensuring a seamless evolution to other advanced messaging services through Acision’s convergence platform. Visual Voicemail will be available on a variety of Java, BREW, and Windows Mobile handsets.

"Wireless consumers are hungry for a better voicemail experience, one that is easier to manage and more versatile than current navigation systems," Wayne Irwin, president, Acision, the Americas said. "With Acision’s Visual Voicemail, operators will be able to offer their customers an experience more closely aligned with their messaging expectations. Our partnership with Action Engine allows us to meet the growing demand for an intuitive graphical voicemail option."

Acision’s Visual Voicemail solution features:

  • on-device message access - the consumer can play the audio of the message on the phone’s built-in media player
  • a visual interface that includes the date and time of the call, urgency and caller information as available
  • full voicemail management, including message archiving and deletion
  • One-click return calling
