Prexar Mobile, a provider of wireless voice, messaging and data services, today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire strategic wireless assets of Amp’d Mobile. The company ensures uninterrupted wireless service for Amp’d Mobile customers and a seamless transition to Prexar Mobile.

The Prexar Mobile offering is managed by USA Telephone, a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) that has provided reliable local and long distance phone service since 1999.

"Amp'd Mobile worked diligently on an agreement that would guarantee continuity of service for their former customers and a way to seamlessly transition to a compelling offering with the same rewarding user experience they have always enjoyed," said Bill Fogg, CEO of USA Telephone. "We have a proven track record in delivering reliable phone service to customers nationwide, and believe we can, going forward, offer a full-featured, content-rich mobile service built around each user’s unique and demanding communications lifestyle."

Amp’d Mobile customers transitioning to Prexar Mobile can for the most part continue to use their existing mobile phones, and will be able to choose from a suite of calling and text messaging plan options. Amp’d Mobile customers can visit http://www.prexarmobile.com to seamlessly transition their wireless service or obtain additional information about Prexar Mobile’s diverse plan offerings.
