Amp'd Mobile will offer 3G broadband-enabled phones through a 'hybrid' pricing plan that blends the low monthly calling rates of a post-paid plan with the freedom of a pay-as-you-go plan. The new Amp'd Mobile Hybrid Plans allow customers the opportunity to experience mobile broadband entertainment on a month-to-month payment plan by routing their billing through a debit or credit card. For example, customers wanting to sign up for the company's 1,000 minute / $50 a month post-paid plan can now do so without committing to the usual 18-month contract by simply choosing the Hybrid option at sign-up, either by providing a credit or debit card number for billing purposes. Best of all, Hybrid Plan customers can enjoy immediate and complete access to the vast array of Amp'd Mobile multimedia content such as live concerts and events, Amp'd Original programs, as well as a full library of downloadable video clips and 99 cent songs. No other North American wireless operator currently offers a 3G broadband phone under a hybrid-style pricing plan. "With over 200,000 live video streams just last month, there is clearly tremendous demand among our target market to experience the extensive multimedia content available only on Amp'd," said Bill Stone, Chief Operating Officer of Amp'd Mobile. "Amp'd is unique in that we offer customers truly great services through Amp'd Live and let them choose to pay for those services any way they like - Post-paid, Pay-As-You-Go or Hybrid. It's ultimate freedom for the consumer." |
