Mobile ESPN is up and running in time for Super Bowl XL. The service operates on Sprint's nationwide PCS wireless network. To begin using the service, the Mobile ESPN web site says you first need to "eat, sleep, and breathe sports."
The EVDO-enabled Sanyo MVP is the only handset currently available. Special features include an "E" button for one-touch access to Mobile ESPN. Other features include a 1.3 Megapixel camera, MP3 player, speakerphone and 3D graphics. The phone comes with an ESPN Stereo Headset, travel charger, USB data cable, and a 16 MB Mini-SD card. The main QVGA screen offers a 2.1" TFT (240x320 pixel) 260,000 colors display. The phone kit sells for $199.00. Plans run from 100 minutes for $34.99 a month up to 1350 minutes for $104.99 a month.
