Pantech announced Thursday that Chinese government allowed CDMA license to it, enabling exports and sales of Pantech handsets from the end of this year.

Pantech founded a joint venture, Dalian Daxian-Pantech Communication Co., Ltd. in China with Daxian Group , that already had a license, in September 2003. The license will be used by the joint venture.   

President Lee Sung-kyu of Pantech said," Finally, we got to have a chance to sell our products in the largest handset market in the world. All this success is attributable to our concerted efforts and long term export strategies. We are gearing up for leading mobile phone technology and market trend of the mega-market."
