Vodafone Australia has cut the price of GPRS package by two-third. It is as cheap as broadband service now while you can access to 144kbps connection anytime, anywhere.
Until the announcement, Vodafone's own mobile data package for notebook users, which employs a Nokia PCMCIA GPRS modem, had itself carried a hefty premium over fixed line internet services, priced at $108 USD per month. Now priced at $36 USD per month, the plan provides "unlimited" usage, subject to a fair use policy. Existing customers on the $108 USD per month bundle would be moved to the new plans, while customers on download-limited bundles would also be given the option to move, Vodafone marketing manager Declan O'Callaghan said.
