Verizon Wireless, palmOne and Intellisync Corporation today announced that the award-winning Treo 600 smartphone is now available to Verizon Wireless customers along with a new release of Wireless Sync, Verizon Wireless' always-on e-mail service powered by Intellisync. Verizon Wireless is the only carrier to offer an integrated e-mail solution on the Treo 600 smartphone so that e-mails sent to a customer's PC will be immediately sent to their Treo 600.

Verizon Wireless and PalmOne Confirmed the Release of Treo 600

Verizon Wireless now offers an integrated email solution on the Treo 600 smartphone. e-mails sent to a customer's PC will be immediately sent to their Treo 600 smartphone too.

Wireless Sync uses Intellisync's E-mail Accelerator, part of the Intellisync Mobile Suite – a server-based e-mail, synchronization, deployment and management solution for the enterprise. The initial Wireless Sync offering is a desktop-based solution, providing wireless synchronization between a user's desktop and wireless device. Future releases will include workgroup and server solutions, allowing for Wireless Sync access for an entire enterprise.

"Intellisync is pleased to be selected as the e-mail provider of choice by Verizon Wireless for the Treo 600," said Clyde Foster, Intellisync's senior vice president of sales. Treo 600 customers may select from a number of Verizon Wireless voice and data plans that begin at $24.99 for 5 MB of data allowance when added to an America's Choice plan of $35.00 or higher. Wireless Sync is included with every NationalAccess PDA/Smartphone data plan.
