The SPH-i550 is a CDMA flip phone offering a high resolution screen, SD slot and a megapixel digital camera.
The Samsung i550 will have standard features such as a built in 1.0 megapixel digital camera with a flash, an SD memory expansion slot, voice recorder and comes with a web browser and messaging software. It will also have a mp3 player and video playback with dedicated control buttons on the exterior. The unit will have a standard replaceable 1150mAh battery. If you are a power user, there will be an optional 1700mAh extended battery accessory available. The i550 will be able to connect to CDMA 1XRTT wireless networks, allowing it to handle both voice calls and transfer data at up to 144 kbps, though 40 to 60 kbps is a more realistic, real world, speed. The Samsung SPH-i550 is expected to be available from Sprint sometime in Q2 of this year. There is still no pricing information yet. Thanks Joe for the information. |
