The new iPAQ 600 and 900 series handsets get rendering picture from Smartphone France. Both are said to run WM6 Pro, have 3G and WiFi connectivity, as well as integrated GPS.
The iPAQ 614c, on the left in the above image, has a traditional numeric keypad but a clever touch-sensitive scroll wheel integrated into it. In addition there’s a 2.8-inch 240 x 320 touchscreen and 3-megapixel camera. On the right, the iPAQ 914c has a full QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging, a smaller, 2.46-inch touchscreen (though with the same resolution as the 614c) and the same 3-megapixel camera. Considering the iPAQ line was believed extinct by many, this will be a welcome reintroduction by one of the “old hands” of the PDA industry. Nonetheless, there will be many disappointed by the lack of full VGA resolution screens. Smartphone France’s source also suggests that there will be a further two handhelds, in the form of non-cellular PDAs, called the iPAQ 114 and 214. Smartphone France [translated] [via jkontherun] |
