Alltel Wireless Now Offering Palm Treo 700wx Smartphone

Alltel Wireless today announced the Palm Treo 700wx smartphone, which comprises all the functionality and ease of use for which Treo smartphones are known, with the power and security of Windows Mobile.

The Treo 700wx builds on the award-winning design of the Treo 650 smartphone and takes advantage of Windows Mobile 5.0, offering the ability to view and edit Microsoft Word Mobile and Excel Mobile files, and view PowerPoint Mobile and PDF files. In addition, users can get ready access to the Internet and multimedia content using Internet Explorer Mobile and Windows Media Player Mobile, as well as direct access to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 for mobile access to email.

Additional Applications from Alltel for the Treo 700wx 

  • Sharpcast Photos offers Alltel customers a completely new experience for viewing their entire desktop PC photo collection on their Treo 700wx, automatically syncing Treo pictures to their desktop and the web, and effortlessly sharing their mobile, desktop and web photo albums from their Treo 700wx.
  • A mobile software store from Handango enables on-device software purchases from a catalog of productivity and entertainment titles. 
  • Handmark Pocket Express delivers news, weather, sports, maps, directory look-ups, movie show times and other mobile content to Alltel subscribers.

The Palm Treo 700wx smartphone from Alltel Wireless is available now at Alltel retail stores and online at alltel.com starting at $349.99 after a $100 rebate. This discounted price is available to new customers on two-year service agreements as well as to existing eligible customers on qualifying rate plans.
