Daxian Telecom announced CU928 CDMA device based on Microsoft's Windows Pocket PC Phone edition.

The new CU928 is a hybrid device between a PDA and cellphone.  The PDA's brain is Intel PAX265 400MHz processor while the Qualcomm MM5500 manages every aspect of the communications.  The 3.5-inch TFT LCD screen features 240 x 320 resolution, 64K colors and a touch screen.  The device also incorporates a 300,000 pixel camera. A 1490 mAH battery provides for three to four hours talk time and 168 hours of standby.

The CU928 multimedia phone is a CDMA handset that will run on U-Web CDMA 1X base service.  Operating on a CDMA 1X service, the CU928 promise to provide access to video streaming facilities such as real time TV and real time video traffic information using its built in Windows Media Player 9 player.
