the Financial Times and Sony Ericsson announce a new mobile service that allows consumers to read up-to-date global business and financial news, comment and analysis from FT.com, on their mobile phones.
Sony Ericsson mobile phone users can get breaking global news from FT.com delivered directly to their phone at any chosen time. The service is sold over Sony Ericsson's Fun & Downloads portal as a 30-day subscription package for 5 Euros or 5 USD and is easy to install and use. Sony Ericsson users will be able to try before they buy with a one-day trial subscription downloadable over WAP. One benefit of this service is that it is easy to use as it is only one click away and provides easy navigation. It is also presented in a rich way taking advantage of the entire screen and the client actively updates the content, thus no need for the user to update to get the latest news. Steven Trew, Head of FT Mobile said: "FT.com's extensive reach is expanded once again by this deal. Our award winning news, comment and analysis can now be accessed by Sony Ericsson customers whenever they choose." "Offering a premium news service on our phones is of course a great benefit for us, further adding to the vast capabilities of our products", says Toon Diependaele, Digital Marketing Director at Sony Ericsson. "The FT.com service is easy to sign up to from our Fun & Downloads portal, offers good value for money and offers instant benefits for the users of Sony Ericsson phones", says Diependaele. The service will from the beginning be available for the following Sony Ericsson phone models: T610, T630, Z600, K500, K700, P800, P900, P910 and Z1010. |
