HTC has created so many mobile devices using Microsoft Windows Mobile OS, its president said they will use Symbian OS whenever there is a demand.

According to a report from ARNnet,

The company, which has been a longtime partner of Microsoft in the mobile business, could also expand to using the Symbian OS. The company said it would only use Symbian if it sees value in doing so, for example, if operators placed orders with it for phones using the Symbian OS.

"We're not limited. We're not Microsoft, we can do anything," HTC president said.

HTC has also announced net sales for the first half of 2006 were NT$49,742 million and net income after tax totaled NT$11,130 million, up 174 percent year-over-year. The gross profit rate in 2006 Q2 rose to 32.6% from 29.3% in 2006 Q1, and earnings per share after tax were NT$ 13.15.
