Philips is to apply PolyLED - its own unique application of Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display in the new Philips 639.

Gizmo over at MobileGizmo writes about a new cellphone with a built-in mirror.

The new Philips 639 will have PolyLED technology which a sensational ‘Magic Mirror’ display screen on the outside of the phone’s sleek clamshell design. When the phone is in standby mode, the display provides a mirror – perfect feature for anyone who need to check their appearance on the move. As soon as the phone receives a call or a message, the mirror becomes the display. This can be further discovered on the phone’s primary high-resolution 65K colors TFT display.

Cool Magic Mirror special effects
The Magic Mirror is also a display screen, that can display different animated graphics. The screen also provides a unique ‘window’ on incoming calls: the Mirror feature or the identity of a caller can be seen through the  mirror with the phone’s new IconCall feature which allows fast, easy identification.

Optional rotating digital camera
I'm shock to see that the digital camera isn't built in because folks who enjoy looking at themself most likely enjoy taking pictures of themself. Enough of the editorial...The Philips 639’s optional VGA ‘Night Mode’ camera, is your typical digital camera used in most cellphones. With a built-in 2x digital zoom function it’s much easier to take clear, close-up photos every time.

Expect the new Philips 639 mobile phone around the second quarter of this year in selected countries.
