Microsoft readying its windows mobile updates with Crossbow and Photon. .

The latest Windows Mobile 5.0 is set to be upgraded each year with a new version. News from msmobilenews tell us that Microsoft is readying Crossbow for release in 2007, and Photon will be available in 2008. Pieter Knook, a Microsoft Sr. VP said that Microsoft plan to release an upgrade to their mobile platform yearly and the new Crossbow will be able to interate with Office 2007 and Exchange 12. It will also includes the mobile version of Office Communicator and an enterprises Instant Messenger tool. While the screenshot only show us a new "skin", we have yet to read any OS/software improvements from the Crossbow.
