Japanese is making more interesting gadgets that can be accessed from your mobile phone. The new I-Pot CV-DA22 has built in wireless capability that let you retrieve the usage statistic from your mobile phone directly.

More for monitoring your parents or old folks, it records the time when it supply the hot water to the user. When user went out from home, he can press the "out from home" button to indicate an away message. "Away" status can be cleared by pressing the button again when he is back. Latest records of the action can be accessed from your mobile phone then.
