Samsung Presents 8 Megapixel CMOS Camera Module

While most of us are not getting the latest 5 megapixel camera phone yet, Samsung has announced a 8 megapixel CMOS camera module today.

Although it isn't the highest megapixel camera module we have reported, the new 8 megapixel CMOS camera module has got size reduced and supports auto focus. The 10.5 X 11.5 X 9.4 mm body size is similar to the current 3 megapixel camera phone, thanks to its exclusive PIEZO technology. The camera module will be brought into production next year, though the company did not mention if it will be used on GSM capable phone.
