Should I buy Samsung's Q1 ultramobile PC, instead of smartphone or laptop? Today's reader question while reading Samsung's Samsung's Q1 ultramobile PC release news: Should I buy Samsung's Q1 ultramobile PC, instead of smartphone or laptop? Yes, it's hard to be a replacement of smartphone, because it's just too big to fit in your pocket. But it's also impossible to replace laptop due to its less powerfull function rather than laptop. Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. debuted its Q1 Ultra ultramobile PC on Monday with some improvements, but a little bit expensive in price.
The Q1 Ultra-V, one of four versions of the new Q1 Ultra, will ship in approximately two weeks. Equipped with Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and a 60GB hard drive, this device will cost $1,199! Samsung first exhibited the Q1 Ultra in March at the Cebit trade show in Germany, but did not set a specific price or launch date until Monday. Later this month, the Q1 Ultra-EL will be joined by a $799 lower-end version designed for consumers on a budget and offers a 40GB hard drive and a lower-end processor and lacks the Q1 Ultra-V's camera and biometric fingerprint reader. While the Q1 Ultra-XP, a business-oriented version, configured for the older Windows XP Tablet Edition operating system, will ship next month. The last version, the highest-end Q1 Ultra, the Q1 Ultra-CMV, will not make its debut until August due to its technical process with cellular carrier Cingular. Pages (5): [1] 2 3 4 5 » ... Last » |
