Actimagine today announced that the company joined the Symbian Platinum Partner Program to support the growing market for Symbian smartphones by extending its video codec, Mobiclip to the Symbian ecosystem.

Actimagine develops and sells under license Mobiclip, a patented software video codec, optimized for mobile platforms. Mobiclip is the technology that enable watching a full-length movie in DVD-like quality on mobile phones. Currently Mobiclip is offering DVD-like playback quality at 25 frames per second, full screen.
