Sony Ericsson announced the three winners of the Sony Ericsson Game Developers Challenge 2004. 20 finalists have been evaluated by a jury from Sony Ericsson and the wireless gaming industry.

The Sony Ericsson Game Developers Challenge 2004 has put developers to the test to create the best Java games for the Sony Ericsson K700, Z1010 and Z500. Close to 7,000 consumers have played the submitted games through a web emulator on a special consumer campaign site during the summer and voted on different game features.

A jury consisting of four Sony Ericsson representatives and two experienced review experts from the wireless gaming industry have evaluated the 20 finalists and now picked the following three winners of the Sony Ericsson Game Developers Challenge 2004:

Description: ARES is an action packed micro-SHMUP (shoot-them-up). You are the pilot of M.A.C (Mobile Assault Craft) equipped with the most advanced weapons. The limited phoenix mini-nuke will come in handy to clear sky-full of enemies. The action is non-stop, ARES is a must try!

Name of the game: GearBox: Puzzle Party
