Nokia has just released Mail for Exchange 2.0 for E-Series and N-Series Nokia mobile phones. The Mail for Exchange 2.0 enabled synchronization of Microsoft Inbox mail folder, calendar and contacts between Microsoft Exchange servers and mobile devices. The software can be used with the wireless Microsoft ActiveSync protocol available in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and later.

The new version added the Task Synchronization with the Exchange server. Here is a list of the Mail for Exchange 2.0 features.

Messaging:
- Composing, sending, receive and view email wirelessly
- New message notification.
- Mark message read when opened or unread (by command).
- Read/unread status synchronized between client and server.
- Message deletes are synchronized.
- Automatic'Fetch more' of a message.
-'Send As' when viewing a file on the device.
- Email signature.
- Message reply/reply all/forward by reference (smart reply or forward).

Calendar:
- OTA Calendar Sync
- Synchronize new or updated events from the Calendar.
- Events appear in the time zone selected on the device.

Contacts:
- Synchronize personal contacts
- Create, Edit, Delete contacts
- Set calendar time filter (2 weeks / 1 month / 3 months / 6 months back / All entries).

Attachment:
- Downloading, Sending, Viewing, Storing and editing.
- Unlimited attachment size (limited by device memory).
- Download only the email attachments that you want.

Connection:
- Synchronize over GPRS, WLAN, VPN or IP Passthrough.
- Sync settings: Sync manually, sync at regular intervals or always on.
- Select TCP or TLS connection (secure/not secure).
- User selection of the Internet Access Point to be used for sync.
