Oasys Mobile has signed a licensing deal with 2K, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, to develop mobile versions of three popular Sid Meier "sim" games, including Sid Meier's Civilization IV, Sid Meier’s Railroad Tycoon and Sid Meier’s Pirates!. “We’re excited to be adding the Sid Meier brand to our ever-broadening roster of top selling games,” said Doug Dyer, CEO, Oasys Mobile. “We see tremendous growth in the mobile sim genre and are confident that fans of Sid Meier will thoroughly enjoy playing their favorite Sid Meier titles on their cell phones.” Sid Meier’s Civilization IV Mobile, Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon Mobile and Sid Meier’s Pirates! Mobile are scheduled for release in 2008. An update of the Sid Meier strategy classic, Sid Meier’s Railroad Tycoon Mobile will contain most features of the original classic, Sid Meier’s Railroad Tycoon, as well as significant updates, including enhanced graphics with isometric views, customizable rules and streamlined, intuitive controls that afford all the complexity of classic Sid Meier’s Railroad Tycoon in a simple, easy-to-use mobile interface. It is scheduled for release in March 2008. |
