LocatioNet Systems has launched 'amAze', a free mobile mapping, navigation and local search solution for mobile phones. The application provides any regular, Java-enabled mobile phone with mapping, navigation and local search information to anywhere in Central and Western Europe and North America.

The user is served relevant and targeted advertising which enriches the user experience with more relevant information. amAze already supports about 100 Java-enabled mobile handsets with more handsets supported every week. Windows mobile and Blackberry versions will be released soon.

It is possible to use for travel guide on the road, but it would need an extra bluetooth GPS device to retrieve your location.
